Sometimes I look at pictures, and I can’t believe this was me.
It’s been almost three years since I received the worst news of my life, that my precious husband had fallen to his death in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Time and work are slowly taking the edge off of living with that reality, but one fact remains plain: death is scary.
“I wish all the things and people we loved were in one place,” one my kids said after our recent return from the West Coast. I nodded in agreement. Wouldn’t it be lovely not to juggle the complexities of so many loves?
One day, we will exchange our johnnies for robes of rejoicing in the New Jerusalem. “And Lord, haste the day when the faith shall be sight.”
